Some DSI applications have not taken off because of concerns and distrust of data collection and secondary uses. There need to be a set of ethical and privacy guidelines for develops put in place to build more trust
Create fixed ethical and privacy guidelines as a point of reference for DSI projects to help eliminate distrust over use and collection of data by DSIs . Having a fixed code/rules for DSIs to follow will prevent any potential of misuse of data.
